The Tokaj Research Institute for Viticulture and Oenology (RIVO) held their annual grape exhibition in front of their 18th-century Rákóczi House in Tarcal today. This time, they brought along bunches of 37 varieties, mostly pre-phylloxera ones, including many local red grapes, as well as 11 different clones of the region's leading cultivar, Furmint, such as two types of Fehér Furmint (P1 and P2, currently not authorised), Madárkás Furmint (P11, currently not authorised), two variants of Hólyagos Furmint (P26 and P27, authorised in 2008), and of Vigályos Furmint (P14, authorised in 2008, and P19, currently not authorised), the most widespread types of T92 (authorised in 1973), T85 (authorised in 1990) and P51 (authorised in 1969), plus the promising T8/7575 (currently not authorised).

The bunches mostly came from a vine nursery of almost three hundred varieties, variants and clones which the Institute had planted in the Murat-völgy Vineyard on the south-facing slopes of Tokaj Hill in April 2014.
