Despite being brought forward from the usual mid-August dates to early July, this year's Wine, Shine, Bénye festival attracted a similar number of visitors as in previous years. The twelve participating wineries hosted a total of eleven restaurants that offered great food to go with the wines, while over thirty concerts were held during the four festival days, interspersed with themed wine tastings, wine and culinary workshops, as well as presentations on architecture, wine, and history. As usual, the event kicked off with an opportunity for visitors to meet and mingle with all participating winemakers, but, unlike in earlier years, this took the form of an outdoor walk-around tasting in the garden of Budaházy-Fekete Kúria.

The charming village of Erdőbénye (colloquially abbreviated to Bénye) has since 2009 been home to Wine, Shine, Bénye (Bor, Mámor, Bénye in HU), probably the Tokaj region's best wine and music festival. Makeshift stages and outdoor lounges in the gardens of over a dozen local wineries create the setting for the festival's familiar and laid-back atmosphere, bringing the audience as close as possible to performers and winemakers alike.
