Tokaj has almost doubled their medals tally from last year by winning a total of 13 medals, including six golds, four silvers and three bronzes at this year's Challenge International du Vin. While most of the entries came from returning participants, there was one newcomer in the Tokaj team, Ákos Péter, who made his debut at the Challenge by winning a silver for a dry Furmint. This is quite a feat considering that the five-hectare estate, Péter Pincészet, is known as a sort of second-tier producer, which rarely seeks international exposure.

One of Europe's most prestigous wine competitions, Challenge International du Vin has been held since 1976. This year, the tastings took place on 21st to 22nd April, and the results were published online on 28th. Below is a summary of Tokaj's results.
