NEW TÁLLYA WINE FESTIVAL WITH FOCUS ON ARTS AND LITERATURE

Kerekdomb Fesztivál (Round Mound Festival in EN) was the name of Tállya's new late september wine festival, held first from 23 to 25 to mark the day of Saint Wenceslaus. As with most wine events in the region, musical performances were abundant, but what really set Kerekdomb apart from the rest was a strong focus on arts and literature. And on Sunday the interior of Tállya’s Catholic church was again beautifully decorated with bunches of grapes to celebrate the day of Saint Wenceslaus, a patron-saint of vine dressers and winemakers. A Holy Mass was held at 11 am in honour of the saint followed by a blessing of wines and pálinka, offered by local producers and placed on the side altar, dedicated to the saint.
