Tokaj has received seven medals, three golds, two silvers and two bronzes at this year's Challenge International du Vin. Sárazsadány's only internationally recoginsed producer Porgányi proved the most successful, winning a gold and a bronze, which no longer came as a major surprise after his successful debut at the competition last year. The best dry wine, a Furmint, came from Hercegkút-based Portius, while up-and-coming Budaházy-Fekete Kúria grabbed a silver for a their dry Sárgamuskotály of 2014.
One of Europe's most prestigous wine competitions, Challenge International du Vin has been held since 1976.
