All the four gold medals Hungarian wines took home from this this year’s Vinalies Internationales were awarded to Tokaji Aszús, three of which came from Disznókő and one from Dereszla. It is a point of interest that all these Aszú wines are marketed under the winners' entry-level second brands, such as Sárga Borház, Hattyú and Chateau Henye. It should also be noted that Disznókő is apparently taking advantage of the new labelling regulations and now leaves the puttonyos number off the label of their 2013 Aszús.
Organised by the Union des Œnologues de France, Vinalies Internationales 2016 awarded gold and silver medals to a total of 1026 out of this year's 3422 entries from 38 countries. 62 wines came from Hungary, with 4 ending up with gold medals and 16 with silver medals, including one for Tokaj Crown Estates swee Muscat Blanc (Sárgamuskotály in HU).
